NC Coastal Volleyball Club is partnering with Gold Medal Squared Elite Volleyball Training to provide education for our coaches and training for our players.  The Gold Medal system of volleyball training is based on the principles of motor learning, physics, research and probability and those principles drive how we teach skills and develop our systems;  this provides continuity and consistency in how we teach throughout our programs. Our coaches are experienced with teaching and coaching within the GMS system, have attended GMS coaching clinics,or will receive training from the accomplished GMS clinicians at the start of the indoor club season. Travel players will also experience direct training from Gold Medal clinicians at our pre-season GMS players’ clinic while their coaches assist during the clinic and learn how to apply the teaching techniques.

Gold Medal Squared was founded in 1985 by American volleyball legends and national team coaches Dr. Carl McGown, Dr. Doug Beal and Dr. Marv Dunphy. NC Coastal is proud to make player development and coaching education central to its mission. Gold Medal Squared training for our club members is an important tool in realizing that goal.  Read more at the GMS website and in the video below, hear Joe Trinsey, former Assistant Coach to the USA Women’s National Team, talk about their methods and success in helping coaches, schools and clubs improve the quality of their volleyball programs and develop their players to be the best they can be.
